Linux gone (for now?)

Still not using version numbers, sorry.

Changes since last version:

  • A proper localized help screen has been implemented.
  • All doors in the Nexus had their texture changed.
    • All dreamscape entrance doors were also changed to match the Nexus doors.
  • Interacting with the shard displays in the dream world will show the name of the shard followed by its pick-up message and a description of what effect it has.
  • The outdoor area of the labyrinth has been updated to look more like a hedge maze.
  • All painting graphics have been renamed.
  • The paintings in the gallery have all been randomized.
  • New area added to the gallery.
  • More paintings.
  • Fixed a bug where trying to talk to any chaser would open the diary
  • The Linux portable package has been removed since recent versions of GZDoom are no longer available as a portable package for Linux. This might change in the future, I dunno, I am at the whims of Graf Zahl.

The original Nexus doors were all AI-generated images, while the new replacements are digital paintings made by myself. The plan is to get rid of most AI-generated images in the game over time, with the only ones I intend to keep being the ones in the starting area of the gallery. Speaking of which, the "paintings" in the hidden area of the gallery are composite photographs that I made from stock photos, attempting to mimic the style of the Zdzisław Beksiński photographs Madison refers to in one of her diary entries.
